Happy Halloween!

Radley's preschool group (minus one member) came to our house the Thursday before Halloween so we had a little preschool/Halloween party. It was a lot of fun, we read Halloween books, made ghost suckers, had a pumpkin walk, played pin the tail on the cat, did some dancing to Halloween songs, and got a little learning in there somewhere. Radley insisted on being a robot this year. I never saw any robot costumes in the stores, so we made his costume this year. It was a lot of fun to make and turned out really good. Radley loved it and would walk around like a robot making robot noises.
We went to a Halloween costume party at Christofer's cousins. Everyone was dressed up and there were some fun costumes. We are Nacho and Incarnacion the Nun if you can't tell, I'm not really one for dressing up, but it was pretty fun. They actually had everyone there vote on their favorite costume and Radley won a trophy for best costume. He was so excited, they had a costume walk where everyone walked by to show off their costume and Radley just kept butting in front of people and going again and again. He was a pretty awesome robot and proud of it!

This is Demsey the monkey at the party. She wasn't scared of costumes until I put her down for a picture, then she wasn't sure about things.

This picture is my favorite. On Saturday night it had rained some so when we went out trick or treating there were worms everywhere. Well, worms are Radley's new favorite thing right now. It took us forever to get from house to house because Radley had to stop and get every worm..dead or alive..off the ground and put in his bucket with his candy. His robot costume wasn't very mobile, so he couldn't bend over, which means I had to pick up the gross worms for him. In this next pic he tried to pick a worm up by himself. He totally got high-centered and stuck and couldn't move. It was hillarious. We had quite the bucket-ful of candy and worms by the end of the night.

Demsey really started getting the hang of it and was thrilled that people were giving her candy.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!

Awesome robot!!!
You guys all looked so good in your costumes. I was super sad to miss that party! Jake didn't give me enough warning so I could ask for it off.

That is hilarious about the worms and candy! Devan, you make a beautiful nun, just like Julie Andrews in the Sound of Music!

What a great robot costume you made! He looks so cute too! I died laughing about the picture & story of Radley falling over and getting high centered. Cute stuff! You're a good mom. I think that if Roman wanted to pick up worms and put them in his candy bucket I would have said "No!". Give me a couple more years though and I'll probably learn to pick my battles huh?:)
