I don't know how it happened, but my baby is now a one-year-old! This past year has flown by, I'm sure the years go by faster and faster with each child you have. Demsey brings our family so much joy and I can't even picture our life without her. She is so much fun, she loves to cuddle and smile and wrestle with Radley. She is starting to develop a little attitude and definitely knows what she wants. Radley loves his sister so much. He is so good to share with her and always lets me know, 'Demsey wants some too.' She had to get her shots yesterday and Radley was so concerned, he didn't want to let me leave the house and kept telling me, 'But baby Demsey doesn't want shots, she's not sick, don't give her shots!' We had a little birthday party for Demsey in the backyard...luckily the weather was good for us. It was really fun and oh so cute. Here's some pics of the decorations, big disclaimer here, I did not make the decorations. I'm in the Primary Presidency and the Primary President is so darn cute and loves to plan parties and make decorations. She begged me if she could do a little something for Demsey's party. I of course said yes and it turned out adorable.

I did make the birthday cake, that's why it's not extravagant, but it worked out perfect for a little one-year-old to destroy. That is supposed to be a big flower on the top. My mom showed me a trick where you can just roll out gum drops to make designs.

Here's the birthday girl herself, she is even cuter than the decorations.

We had some cute little crafts and games for the kiddos. We used Tyrel's cute idea of planting 'majic' jellybean seeds in the dirt. Kids love dirt so they had fun.

Then we made a bunch of fun things out of spray painted pasta. We had cute tiara's and barrettes with rhinestones for the girls. This is Christofer's cousins' kid and she was so cute, she just loved the girly crafts. The boys made trains with the pasta that were really fun, but I forgot to get a picture of those.

Then, after awhile, lollypop sucker-flowers grew where we had planted the majic jellybeans! Hurray!

Then it was present time. Demsey needed a little help with the opening part, but there were plenty of kids there willing to help out with that. She got lots of fun stuff, cute dolls and doll accessories like a stroller, blanket, bottle. She got some fun toys, cute clothes and a push/ride car that she loves. Thanks everybody for the gifts!

Then it was cake time. Demsey already has a sweet tooth and really loved her cake. She pretty much had that thing torn apart and demolished by the time she was done with it.

Happy Happy Birthday Demsey! We love you so much!
Let me explain the next picture. This is one of my dresses from when I was a kid. My parents got it in Switzerland and I wanted to get a pic of Demsey in it. I could not get a good picture to save my life, she wasn't cooperating. The next pic is of me when I was one. Everyone always wonders who Demsey looks like so I put this in because I like to think she looks like me :) That's why I dressesd Demsey in one of my old dresses and tried to recapture a pic that looked like the one of me when I was one. It totally didn't work, but you can still kinds see the resemblance.

Now, so that Radley doesn't feel left out :) Here are some pictures of Radley at the big scoutarama he went to with his Dad who is the Scout Master in our ward. He got to play some fun games.
